So there I was, about 75% of my allotted time through my support raising with only about 15% of the support raised. Honestly I am sure we are going to be doing youth ministry, but unsure of the exact timeline.
The last week of April I was in sunny San Francisco meeting with old friends and support raising. I was blessed by a family we have been keeping in touch with over the years. They allowed me to stay in their home, drive their car, eat their food and host an ice cream social. Did I mention a plane ticket in there? Yup, just as I was about to cancel my visit to our old Lifegroup Sunday school class due to a flight schedule, they booked me on a flight and I was able to attend. I was humbled by their generosity and forever thankful for their support. I will never be able to repay them for their generosity, although I am looking forward to the day when God richly blesses them for their giving hearts and generous hospitality. The journey of support raising isn't all about finding people to give to our ministry. I have found many times God needs someone to visit with His people. Some conversations I wasn't able to talk about raising funds for my ministry due to the circumstances of the person I was talking to. Many people are struggling with life or jobs or relationships and even faith. It is in these times that I realize God is doing many things through me that I may not be aware of. As I submit to God and His plan for my life, I have to allow Him to direct my steps for His glory and strengthening of the body of Christ. As I struggle with His direction for us this year would you be praying that Kimarie and I would continue to move in the direction God has for us and not be deterred by fear or by doubt. Also that we would be able to wade through our own human nature enough to see Gods plan for this year. Thank you for your support in prayer and counsel and may God truly bless you as you desire to move in the direction God has for you!. Prayerfully, Jason and Kimarie
